Simply remove the plastic poly-bag from your bag, place in open air for 24 hours making sure to avoid direct sunlight, and the smell will dissipate immediately!

Our Full Grain leather is the most durable of all our materials and built to withstand the elements as well as daily use. Leather Goods can seem overly structured and rough at first, but have patience young grasshopper, it will soften as you use it beautifully.
Care Instructions
If your Bag has a strong smell to you when it first arrives, don't worry! It is either the first time you've smelled real leather or it could be the cream we use to make it look nice. We don't use chemicals, but our leather conditioning cream can have a strong smell at first, yet it's necessary to provide you with the softest and cleanest bag possible! Simply remove the plastic poly-bag from your bag, place in open air with ventilation for 24 hours in the shade, not direct sunlight, and the smell will dissipate immediately.
Leather should be stored in a dust bag away from moisture and extreme temperatures. Dry climates or direct heat can dry out the leather causing it to become brittle, condition accordingly. To condition your leather we like Chamberlains Leather Milk No.1 which comes with a cotton terry applicator. Test any conditioner in a small area on your bag and let air dry. Conditioners or treatments can darken the color of the leather depending on the type and amount used. You should condition your bag every 8 - 12 weeks depending on your climate and the bag's exposure to heat and direct sunlight.
*Please Note: Dark ink and dyes in some clothing can stain or transfer to the material of your bag; so like a new pair of jeans, give your new bag some time to break in before wearing it next to your new pair of white jeans. - or vice versa.
Waxed Canvas
Waxed Canvas is an incredibly durable and unique material. You will likely see movement (what some might consider a "scratch") right away, and that's a normal part of how the material gains character (just like our leather) from interaction with other materials and surfaces. As each of our bags are made by artisans, and no two bags are alike, know that the specific lines and markings on your bag are a reflection of uniqueness of your handcrafted life.
Our wax canvas is also robust to withstand elements like rain & snow because it is water resistant and goes through a wax treatment process. It is NOT waterproof; if submerged in water, it will pass through the material. Material is resistant to heat but avoid extreme temperatures for extended periods of time due to the application of wax.
Care Instructions
Canvas can be spot cleaned with cold water or a teeny amount of mild soap (not detergent) for tough stains. Do not machine wash. Be sure to test your soap in a small area of your bag as it could change the bag's color. When spot cleaning, let bag dry in the shade, not full sun. Do not use bleach.
Learn how to condition your canvas bag.
As your waxed canvas product is used wax can slowly wear off your product.
If you want to keep your product water resistant, we recommend waxing your product once every few years. This will help your product a great deal, but remember it’s not the same treatment as the initial wax application at the beginning.
You don’t want to re-wax your bag too much as it can cause a build-up and can easily stain other things that come in contact with your bag.
Eco Vegan (Man-made material)
Vegan goods are made specifically with our exclusive abrasion resistant man-made material without lead or phthalates. As with most man-made things, nothing lasts forever, over time, you may notice slight peeling or chipping in the most used areas - so keep it away from young children and puppies.
Care Instructions
Easily wipes clean with a damp cloth. To remove stains from the exterior, you can also use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, however test first on a small less-visible area of your bag as it may change the bag’s color.
