What a beautiful day. First of all, we had 1 extra hour of sleep, so that is a great start to any day! Posey is at her MaMaw’s house, so Kel and I went to the park for a walk and spend some time together. Our plans were to get ready and then to go to church after our walk, but for some reason, we decided we would stay home and have church. Let me first say that I’m a bit a.d.d., so when Kelly wanted us to listen to a podcast of one of his favorite preachers, I wasn’t overly excited, and I half heartedly agreed to appease my hubby.

Let me just say, that this is one of the most powerful, soul cutting messages I have ever listened to.

I knew 15 minutes into this message that I had to tell all of you about what this man was saying. Let me warn you that is 1 hour and 7 minutes long. I realize that this is a lot of time to commit to something you found on someone’s blog, and truthfully, I don’t know if I would listen to it if I were in your shoes. I will say this, if you want to hear the truth, if you want to get your butt out of the fog that your in, if you want to have a lump in your throat for 1 hour and 7 minutes, or if you would like to hear someone tell you like it is rather than tickle your ears telling you we’re all ok……LISTEN.

Matthew 25: 35-40
For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me. Then the righteous will answer Him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you, or thirsty, and give you something to drink? And when did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to You?” The king will answer and say to them, “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me”.

This morning I have realized how selfish I am. I justify myself, the things I own, and the way I act by society, and not by the word of God. I think everything happens for a reason. I know that it’s not coincidence that we decided to stay home today. I know that it’s not by chance that I felt led to post this on my blog. I know that it’s not chance that you are reading this right now.
