Ok, so I was supposed to have these up last week, but I’m quickly learning everything takes a lot longer than it used to when you have a baby in the mix! It’s been an amazing 2 weeks. I was prepared for the labor….no big deal, that was easy(Thanks to our amazing nurses and doctors at NLMC, aka Lincoln General). I wasn’t prepared for coming home. Truthfully, I don’t think there is any possible way to prepare yourself for the first week. I’m not an emotional person at all, but when we got home, I cried for 3 days strait. Not really sure why. It’s so cliche, but when you have a baby, you all of the sudden experience a love that you’ve never felt before. It’s a love that is so intense it hurts! It actually scared me how much I loved her……wow, what an amazing 2 weeks. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
So here is Posey’s world debut in photos! I haven’t been in the photography mindset, so most of the ones I’ve taken have been pretty simple, just snapshots of her when she’s awake. I want to thank Melissa, my associate for being in the delivery room and photographing that for me. Don’t worry, these are all pretty pg, but if a freshly born baby grosses you out, you might not want to look. My friend Kevin B took a few of these when he visited us in the hospital, and also, one of my best buds Brandi snapped a few of me and Posey when she visited this weekend.
