UPDATE:  After about a month, I decided I didn’t like the purple room anymore!  I waited about a year to make sure, but I’ve recently redone it.  You can see it here

I knew that a very dramatic purple would be hard to pull off as a wall color.  I wanted to take the risk, after all, it’s just paint, right?  I kept having visions of LSU and Mardi Gras flash in my head that honestly kind of made me nauseous, but after everything was in it’s place, I think it all came together!

After staying at the W Hotel numerous times, this was my inspiration for our bedroom.  I wanted posh and romantic.  I think I was able to achieve this!

Here are a few images from our room.
Also, below are resources for many of  the item in the room.

I have been envisioning this pendant light for a while, and even tried to hire someone to make one for me.

I finally came across it at West Elm.  I was so excited!
